Grading Policy
Our complete grading policy is located in the student handbook issued to every student at the beginning of the school year.For quick reference, the Social Studies grading policy is as follows:
Daily grades = 80% of the 9 weeks grade
Tests = 20% of the 9 weeks grade
Final Exams will count as 1/3 of the final 9 weeks grade.
Semester Exams will count as 1/5 of the Final Semester Grade.

Daily Grades will consist of everyday tasks in the classroom which include but are not limited to
Participation in discussions and assignments
Warm-up assignments
Written assignments
Notebook checks
Projects (count as 3 daily Grades)
Students may receive multiple daily grades for the day depending on the assigned tasks for the day.
NOTE: Students who enter the class without required material for the class (books, notes,supplies)
may be subject to a zero for that days daily grade.

Variety of test designs which include but are not limited to multiple choice, fill in the blank, essay,
matching or any other test to assess the knowledge of the student on the standard.
Projects will count as 1 Test Grade.
